Braulio J. Álvarez earned an MSc in Industrial Engineering (2001) and a PhD (2009) from the University of Oviedo, Spain. Since 2003, he has been a member of the Department of Construction and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Oviedo, where he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2023. His research has primarily focused on industrial metrology, particularly in dimensional inspection and manufacturing process planning. Currently, his interests center on dimensional inspection in additive manufacturing processes. He has contributed to numerous research projects, with his findings published in high-impact journals and presented at both national and international conferences.
